The firm's founder and Managing Partner, Philip Heller has almost 40 years of experience in land use, zoning, real estate and conveyancing matters. His clients constitute a broad cross-section of the Berkshire community, including the area's major resorts, cultural institutions, developers, and businesses, as well as individuals and families. He has established a reputation as an expert in zoning, permitting and development, and has successfully represented his clients before local and state boards.

Philip has served as an Assistant District Attorney, Supervisor of all District Court prosecutors, and as a part-time Assistant Public Defender for the Massachusetts Defenders Committee.

He currently serves on the Stockbridge Parks and Recreation Commission, a position he has held since 1997. He is on the Board of Directors of Legacy Banks, is the Chairman of the Legacy Portfolio Management Trust Committee, and serves on its Governance Committee. He has provided countless hours of pro bono services to local non-profits, including Shakespeare & Company, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Ventfort Hall and Berkshire Visitors Bureau.

Philip's dedication to both the Berkshire community and the law has been the driving force of his successful law practice since 1971.
